As a trainer of students studying Cert IV Disability, I found Rhys’ presentation to my class invaluable. He fully engaged the students using humour, and clearly explained the challenges he has faced regarding the way society is structured, which cemented what the student’s had been learning regarding the social model of disability.

The students responded positively to Rhys’ presentation and stated they found the experience increased their understanding of many concepts we had been focusing on and were able to develop a community access plan using Rhys’ presentation as the foundation for this.
