On behalf of annecto Speakers Bank, we wish to offer our sincerest condolences to the family of Gerard Stevenson, one of our valued speakers who died recently due to health complications.
Gerard’s courage and determination was very evident and inspiring. Rather than accept the easy way out and give up when life got complicated, Gerard chose to live an engaged and productive life in a wheelchair.
Gerard was very set on giving back to the community. He was involved in many Speakers Bank presentations, always surprising and inspiring his audience with his personal story of resilience and positivity. He was also a passionate advocate and think-tank of his VASS (Ventilation Accommodation Support Service) Food Forest Project, where a planned food forest and well-being garden was constructed for the residents of the facility where he lived.
Gerard, you will be missed.
